Ethics rule ends Carestream RSNA bash

For years, Carestream Health and its predecessor, the healthcare division of Eastman Kodak, has held a rather pricey bash at the Field Museum in Chicago during the annual Radiological Society of North America conference. That tradition has come to an end.

An e-mail from a Carestream publicist explains: “Given the revised Code of Ethics issued by the Medical Imaging and Technology Alliance (MITA)—which our company adheres to—we will not be hosting this social event as the MITA guidelines prohibit such engagements with healthcare professionals…which made up the bulk of our guest list.”

And hey, it’s always good to save some money during an economic slump.
