Get Biz Stone to come to New Media Meetup at HIMSS12

In trying to publicize my own blog, John Lynn, maestro of the Healthcare Scene network this blog is a part of, had a couple of interesting thoughts that he posted on the EMR and EHR site: Let’s try to convince Twitter co-founder Biz Stone, a keynote speaker at HIMSS12, to take audience questions via Twitter. Furthermore, how about trying to get Stone to attend the 3rd Annual New Media Meetup at next year’s HIMSS?
OK, I’ll get the ball rolling. Stone’s Twitter handle is @Biz. I’m going to propose the hashtag #BizatHIMSS12. Tweet away, and let’s make this happen.

I wasn’t necessarily trying to publicize your blog with my post. Although, hopefully it helps. I’ve been thinking about doing a similar post each week that covers the interesting content being created on the HealthcareScene.com blog network.
Either way, thanks for starting the campaign to get Biz Stone to the New Media Meetup. I’m still working out the specific details for the meetup, but since it’s in my home town of Las Vegas, I told our sponsor that we need to go big. Should be a fun time either way. Particularly because Vegas has a bunch of cool places to hold the event.
It would be great to have Biz at the event!
John, it’s going to take a concerted effort on the part of many to get the word out to Biz. You and other healthcare bloggers should post about it, and let’s get some Twitter traffic going, too.

It’s possible to get that going, strength in numbers. Make a buzz and the rest will follow.
Probably needs to be a little closer to HIMSS. I can get people to do it when I email out the people who register for the event. We’ll make it happen!
