Edward M. Kennedy, 1932-2009
As you’ve likely heard, Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.) died tonight of a malignant brain tumor at age 77.
I’m thinking that his death may be the impetus to get health reform passed this year. Whether that means liberals will try to ram something through without GOP support or Kennedy’s friends on the Republican side like Orrin Hatch will force a bipartisan resolution, I have no idea. But this will be Teddy’s legacy.
Why does anyone believe the federal goverment can administer health care successfully? What other program have the been able to run? Still can not name one? Well I can not either. If you believe they can run health care you may want to send me all your money. My track record is better than theirs is, I never ran medicare and medicaid into the ground. So send me all your money. You do not trust me? Why do you trust the goverment? What have they done but fail and take almost 30% of your money. Do you think health care will be free? Nothing is free, except god's love if you do not go to church. Wake up!
*sigh*
